The research award of the camlog foundation is intended to promote research by young scientists in implant dentistry and related fields.
The total amount of CHF 20'000.00 is divided in three and will be awarded as follows:
* Topic specifications according to "overview", paragraph 4.
Scientists of any nationality who are less than 45 years of age. As a rule, only one grant recipient may be designated from any single participating institution. This person will generally be the lead author.
Works are eligible for submission which are based on research in the prescribed fields and are published or accepted for publication (with confirmation statement attached) between May 2008 and October 2009 in English or German. ‘Publication’ means an article in a peerreviewed journal. The work should be potentially outstanding by reason of its innovative character or scientific relevance. A research group may submit only one work on the same research topic using an identical methodology.
The Foundation Board will award the prize on the basis of the proposal made by a scientific jury, consisting of three members each of the Foundation Board and the Scientific Board of the camlog foundation, which will judge the works independently. It is possible that no grant will be made if the scientific jury believes that no submitted work deserves a prize or that the number of high quality works is too few. This decision of the Foundation Board is not subject to appeal and does not have to supply reasons.
The following documents must be submitted for the competition for the research prize of the camlog foundation:
The documentation must be submitted by 31 October, 2009 in a copyable format or as a PDF file to the camlog foundation, Margarethenstrasse 38, CH-4053 Basel, Switzerland (foundation@camlog.com).
